James Acaster's Classic Scrapes - The Hilarious Sunday Times Bestseller is a side-splitting collection of misadventures from one of Britain's favourite comedians. This uproarious book invites readers into the hilariously calamitous world of James Acaster, a man who has a knack for turning everyday experiences into extraordinary, laugh-out-loud anecdotes.

Nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award five times and a familiar face on prime-time TV shows such as TASKMASTER, MOCK THE WEEK, LIVE AT THE APOLLO and WOULD I LIE TO YOU?, James Acaster has quickly become one of the nation's most beloved comedians. Yet, behind the laughter and applause lies a series of outrageous and utterly endearing escapades that promise to leave readers in stitches.

From profoundly awkward to shamelessly absurd, Acaster details each of his misadventures with the wit and charm that have made him a comedy sensation. Readers will find themselves chuckling at the story of him disappointing a skydiving instructor mid-flight, sympathising as he hides from thugs in a bush while dressed in bright red, and laughing uncontrollably as he recounts his clashes with everyone from a didgeridoo-playing conspiracy theorist to the unsuspecting members of the Kettering Board Games club.

The stories, originally shared on Josh Widdicombe's radio show, quickly became a beloved segment titled 'James Acaster's classic scrapes', captivating audiences with each new tale. In this book, James not only revisits these fan-favourites but also includes never-before-heard stories, each accompanied by his own whimsical drawings that add an extra layer of hilarity.

As praised by comedian Richard Herring, James Acaster's Classic Scrapes is "a book that will make you cry with laughter." Whether reading in public or within the privacy of your home, prepare to look utterly mad as you giggle through every page of Acaster's delightfully daft life.
