About the Author

Phil Wain has been a freelance motorcycle journalist for 20 years and is features writer for a number of publications including BikeSport News, Classic Racer and Road Racing Ireland, as well as being a regular contributor to Motor Cycle News (MCN), MCN Sport and official British Superbike Championship race programmes. He also writes monthly blogs for Devitt Insurance website covering the MotoGP and World Superbike Championships, the British Superbike Championship and the Isle of Man TT Races. He is currently PR officer for a number of teams and riders at both the British Superbike Championship and International road races, including 8TEN Racing (multiple International road race winners Peter Hickman and Davey Todd), PBM Ducati, 23-time Isle of Man TT race winner John McGuinness MBE, KTS Racing and Jackson Racing. Previous clients include Guy Martin, Smiths Racing, Michael Rutter, 8-time World Champion Tim Reeves, Ryan Farquhar and Hydrex Honda.
