DescriptionStorm Child by Michael Robotham is a spellbinding and heart-stopping thriller that will keep you captivated from the first page to the last. With his unparalleled storytelling, Robotham introduces us to Evie Cormac and forensic psychologist Cyrus Haven, thrusting them into a chilling and intricate investigation that unearths buried memories and resurfaces past horrors.
Evie Cormac's life has been overshadowed by a haunting past, ever since her dramatic rescue as a child captured the nation's attention. Now, years later, she struggles to lead a normal life, guided by the supportive and vigilant Cyrus Haven. But when seventeen bodies wash ashore on a seemingly serene British beach, with two women mysteriously missing, Evie's deeply buried trauma resurfaces with a vengeance. The lone survivor and the grim discovery force Evie and Cyrus to delve into a dark and twisted world, where every answer unravels another layer of terror and intrigue.
As they piece together the puzzle, they uncover that these deaths are anything but accidental. Old adversaries from Evie's past resurface, challenging her strength and survival instincts. With Cyrus's expert skills and Evie's resilience, they race against time to uncover who is behind these ghastly events. But the truth is far more sinister than they could ever imagine, pointing to a conspiracy that binds them tighter to a fate they've desperately tried to escape. Can they overcome the forces that drag them back into the storm, or will they fall victim to the shadows of their past?
