Marple: Twelve New Stories is a tantalising collection of short stories that reintroduces the legendary detective Jane Marple. This anthology, crafted by twelve bestselling and acclaimed authors, breathes new life into one of Agatha Christie's most beloved characters. Each author brings their unique voice and perspective to Miss Marple, whilst masterfully preserving the hallmarks of a traditional mystery. The tales in Marple: Twelve New Stories are a delightful blend of classic whodunits and fresh storytelling. From quaint English villages to the bustling streets of metropolitan areas, Miss Marple's keen sense of observation and unparalleled intuition are put to the test as she unravels intricate plots and dark secrets. Miss Marple was first introduced to readers in a story that Christie wrote for The Royal Magazine in 1927 and made her first appearance in a full-length novel, The Murder at the Vicarage, in 1930. It has been 45 years since Agatha Christie's last Marple novel, Sleeping Murder, was published posthumously in 1976. This collection of ingenious new stories by twelve Christie devotees will be a timely reminder of why Jane Marple remains the most famous fictional female detective of all time. About the Author

Agatha Christie was born in Torquay in 1890 and became, quite simply, the best-selling novelist in history. Her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, written towards the end of the First World War, introduced us to Hercule Poirot, who was to become the most popular detective in crime fiction since Sherlock Holmes. She is known throughout the world as the Queen of Crime. Her books have sold over a billion copies in the English language and another billion in over 100 foreign countries. She is the author of 80 crime novels and short story collections, 19 plays, and six novels under the name of Mary Westmacott.
