Today we welcomed a group of Massey University exchange students from Japan, visiting as part of their economics studies and keen to see how Book Hero stores and processes more than 80,000 books.
The Manga box sets were a bit of a highlight, drawing plenty of attention as they toured the shelves!
Alastair (Operations & Technology Hero) and Lizzy (Bookstore & Customer Experience Hero) took the group behind the scenes, sharing how our custom built warehouse management system, Fulfilit, keeps everything organised and moving quickly.
We're very proud of the custom software we've built that allows Book Hero to comfortably process thousands of books in and out of our warehouse, every day. We know that our customers value speed of delivery and keeping the price of books as affordable as possible - both of which are made more achievable thanks to Fulfilt. It's these efficiencies that also allow us to run a cosy bookstore with access to over 80,000 books right next-door in our warehouse.
It was a pleasure to showcase what we are building and to field such thoughtful questions from the next generation of business leaders.
