About the Author

Heinrich Hoffmann, author of Struwwelpeter, was a German psychiatrist and writer. He originally wrote Struwwelpeter for his son as a Christmas present, but it gained popularity after a friend persuaded him to have it published. It was originally released in 1845, and has been popular ever since.
