The Idea of You

The electrifying globe-trotting love story adapted into a major film starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, The Idea of You by Robinne Lee is an enthralling narrative of passion, self-discovery, and the complexities of modern relationships. At its heart is Solène Marchand, at thirty-nine, a devoted mother, a dedicated colleague, and a considerate ex-wife. She embodies the quintessential image of a woman who has it all together, yet feels something deeply missing from her life.

Solène's world takes an unexpected turn during a chance encounter at a boy band's concert that she attends with her teenage daughter. Enter Hayes Campbell, the charismatic and world-famous frontman of the contemporary boy band August Moon. In a twist of fate, an irresistible connection sparks between them. Hayes, despite his celebrity status and the adoration of millions, is instantly drawn to Solène, seeing her not just as another adoring fan, but as the remarkable woman she truly is.

The narrative unfolds into a jet-setting, earth-shattering secret love affair that carries Solène and Hayes from the glitzy streets of Los Angeles to the romantic boulevards of Paris. As their passionate relationship deepens, Solène is torn between the intoxicating allure of Hayes and the realities of her life. Battling societal expectations, the scrutiny of the public eye, and the conspicuous age difference, Solène must navigate her feelings and the impact this relationship has on her personal life.

Can Solène allow herself to fall for the boy the whole world desires, especially when his face is plastered on the posters in her daughter's bedroom? Or will the weight of her responsibilities and the pressure of a judgmental society force her to make a heart-wrenching choice?

The Idea of You is not just a love story; it's a profound exploration of identity, love, and the sacrifices we make for happiness. Robinne Lee's evocative writing captures the essence of yearning and the power of an unexpected connection that defies all odds. This tale is a vivid reminder that sometimes, real love is found in the most unlikely places.
