My Hero Academia, Vol. 4 by Kohei Horikoshi continues the exhilarating journey of Izuku Midoriya, the young boy who inherits the extraordinary superpower of the world’s greatest hero, All Might. But with great power comes great responsibility, and navigating this newfound path to greatness proves to be anything but simple for Midoriya. In a world where 80 percent of the population possesses unique abilities known as “Quirks”, heroism is a respected and highly competitive profession. Yet, Midoriya starts his journey Quirkless, an underdog in a society filled with superpowered individuals.

In this volume, the prestigious U.A. High sports festival takes centre stage, providing a golden opportunity for the aspiring heroes to demonstrate their abilities and catch the eye of professional superhero mentors. The stakes are incredibly high as the students compete in intense and taxing preliminary rounds, which test their determination, teamwork, and strategic thinking. This festival isn't just an ordinary school event; it's a national spectacle closely watched by the entire country, including sinister and shadowy forces that have previously attacked the academy.

Kohei Horikoshi masterfully blends action, drama, and character development, creating a gripping storyline that appeals to both new readers and long-time fans of the series. The compelling narrative delves into themes of perseverance, camaraderie, and the trials that come with balancing immense power and personal growth. Fans will find themselves rooting for Midoriya and his classmates as they forge ahead, each striving to prove their worth and move one step closer to their dreams of becoming professional heroes.

My Hero Academia, Vol. 4 is an essential chapter in the iconic series, offering heart-pounding battles, emotional moments, and deeper insights into the motivations and backgrounds of its richly developed ensemble cast. It's a tale of bravery, hope, and the relentless pursuit of one's destiny in a world where heroes and villains are in a constant struggle for supremacy.
