Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! DescriptionThere is a hint of Armageddon in the air. According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (recorded, thankfully, in 1655, just before she blew up her entire village and all its inhabitants, who had gathered to watch her burn), the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. So, the Armies of Good and Evil are preparing for the ultimate showdown, the Four Bikers of the Apocalypse are revving up their powerful motorcycles and hitting the road, and the world’s last two remaining witchfinders are gearing up to Fight the Good Fight. Atlantis is rising. Frogs are falling. Tempers are flaring, and everything seems to be proceeding according to the Divine Plan.
Except that things aren't as straightforward as they seem. A somewhat fastidious angel named Aziraphale and a fast-living demon named Crowley have grown quite accustomed to their lives on Earth. Having lived among Humanity for thousands of years, they've developed a certain affinity for the human lifestyle. Now, as the Apocalypse looms, they find themselves not particularly thrilled by the prospect of the impending Rapture. To prevent the end of the world, Aziraphale and Crowley must work together to locate and eliminate the Antichrist. There's just one small problem: someone has misplaced him. And rather inconveniently, he's turned out to be a rather nice kid.
In Good Omens, Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman deliver a brilliantly dark and funny take on mankind's final judgement. This new hardcover edition features an introduction by both authors and brings their sharp wit, astute social commentary, and imaginative storytelling back to the forefront. With a narrative that blends humour and horror, the chaotic dance of Armageddon is portrayed through the lens of memorable characters and delightful absurdity.
Prepare to be enthralled by this masterful collaboration that intricately weaves plotlines and showcases the comedic genius of Pratchett and Gaiman. As divine plans and human free will collide, Good Omens remains a timeless and entertaining exploration of good, evil, and everything in between.
