From the bestselling author of The Girl with the Louding Voice, Abi Daré, comes a riveting new novel that continues the powerful saga of young Adunni. In And So I Roar, Daré expertly weaves a poignant tale of resilience, bravery, and the relentless pursuit of education for girls in Nigeria.

Fourteen-year-old Adunni is on the brink of a new chapter in her life. Having fought her way out of her rural village, Ikati, and against all odds, she is set to enrol in a prestigious school in Lagos. Tia, a compassionate and intelligent woman grappling with her own personal battles, provides Adunni with the refuge and support she so desperately needs.

However, the path to a brighter future is fraught with challenges. Just as Adunni prepares to take her first step into her new classroom, a haunting reminder of her past comes knocking at her door. A distressing summons from Ikati threatens to pull her back into the world she fought so hard to escape.

As Tia scrambles to shield Adunni from an uncertain fate, Adunni's courage and resolve are put to the ultimate test. She faces a decision that will impact not only her destiny but also the lives of the young women in her village. With unwavering determination, Adunni embarks on a mission to transform Ikati into a community where girls can dream freely, forge their futures, and amplify their voices to a world that needs to hear them roar.
