One Last Question, Prime Minister
One Last Question, Prime Minister
From Muldoon to Luxon, untold stories from the House of Parliament.
One Last Question, Prime Minister by Barry Soper delves into the nearly five decades Soper has spent reporting from New Zealand's corridors of power.
His working life can be measured in 12 prime ministers: from the larger-than-life characters of Rob Muldoon and David Lange, to the golden age of Helen Clark and John Key, to the post-Covid era of Ardern and Luxon. Soper's insight and nose for a story is second-to-none.
This book reveals the inside scoop from the halls, hotels, and side-rooms where New Zealand's chosen leaders - for better or worse - created their lasting legacy.
"It's fair to say Barry knew, and still knows, where all the bones are buried."
- former prime minister, Sir John Key
