Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! DescriptionBen Tish’s expertly curated collection showcases the passion, colour, and flavour inherent in Mediterranean cuisine. Each recipe is crafted to be simple and accessible, ensuring that even novice cooks can effortlessly recreate the sun-soaked splendour of their favourite holiday destinations from their own kitchens.
The dishes in this book are inspired by Mediterranean classics, local eating habits, or single ingredients that are staples in the region. Picture the golden sheen of olive oil, the zesty fragrance of lemons and oranges, the freshness of herbs, the ripeness of seasonal tomatoes, the juiciness of stone fruits, the sweetness of oozy figs, the pungency of sizzling garlic, the complexity of crushed spices, the smoky allure of grilled meats, and the softness of flatbreads ready to mop up mouth-watering juices.
Here’s a taste of the delectable recipes you'll find in Mediterra:
Burek with honey-roasted pumpkin, goat's cheese and mint from Croatia
Oven-baked black rice from Spain
Lebanese seven-spice falafel
Cumin-roasted aubergines from Tunisia
Cretan grilled smokey sardines
Sicilian sea bass crudo with blood orange and cumin
Pork belly gyros from Greece
Turkish-style spiced lentils with pumpkin, chicken and aleppo pepper
Moroccan pastilla with slow-cooked pheasant
Quince and honey tart from Syria
and a classic Italian Tiramisu
Mediterra is more than a recipe book; it is an invitation to immerse yourself in the Mediterranean way of life. Take the time to savour each meal, gather friends and family, pour a glass of fine wine, and lay a bountiful table. Bon appétit!
