The Runes and Roots Oracle is a deck that combines the Elder Futhark with plant magic. It explores Scandinavian divination, traditional European witchcraft, and magical herbalism.
This unique deck pairs each rune of the Elder Futhark with a plant, aligning their shared energetic correspondences. For instance, Thurisaz is combined with the thorny blackberry in a card of defence, Ansuz and yarrow are united in the communication card, while Hagalaz and deadly nightshade are brought together to convey storms and chaos.
Each card in the deck is illustrated to reflect 16th-century engravings and ancient grimoires, showcasing the magical intersection between runes, witchcraft, and herbalism. The Runes and Roots Oracle also offers a ritual for consecrating new decks, six spreads for rune casting, and includes bind rune and ritual cards within the 36-card deck for a fully immersive experience.
