Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! DescriptionThe gripping saga continues in Berserk Volume 8, as the fierce and enduring struggle between the kingdoms of Midland and Chuder races towards its dramatic pinnacle. Beneath the realm's peaceful facade lies a cauldron of unrest, fuelled by an unrelenting century-spanning war that leaves devastation in its wake. Both kingdoms, locked in a relentless pursuit of dominance, prepare for a decisive confrontation that could alter the course of history forever.
At the centre of this impending clash stands the Band of the Hawk, Midland's illustrious mercenary group whose name is synonymous with battlefield prowess. Guided by the visionary leadership of the enigmatic Griffith, the Hawks have become the spearhead of Midland’s military might. Yet, it is the indomitable warrior Guts, Griffith's formidable and trusted champion, who epitomises the raw strength and courage that have brought them countless victories.
As the spectre of war looms large, the Hawks must navigate not only the external threats posed by their enemy Chuder but also the brewing tensions within their own ranks. The impending triumph in the battlefield might lead to peace with Chuder, yet it risks igniting a hidden power struggle within Midland itself. Ambitious courtiers, eager to usurp Griffith’s influence, lurk in the shadows, scheming to topple those who stand in their path. For amid the clatter of swords and the cries of war, a more insidious battle for control and supremacy unfurls – a dangerous game where the most threatening adversary is one who remains unseen.
Berserk Volume 8 seamlessly combines intense action, political intrigue, and dark fantasy elements, drawing readers deeper into its richly woven tapestry. As the stakes rise and secrets unfurl, the story challenges the very nature of ambition and loyalty in a world where allies can become foes and power exacts a formidable price.

About the Author
While attending college at Nihon University, in 1988, Kentaro Miura debuted a 48-page manga known as Berserk Prototype, an introduction to the current Berserk fantasy world. It went on to win Miura a prize from the Comi Manga School. In 1989, after receiving a doctorate degree, Kentarou started a project titled King of Wolves based on a script by Buronson, writer of Hokuto no Ken (Fist Of The North Star). In 1990, the first volume Berserk was released with a relatively limited success. Miura again collaborated with Buronson on manga entitled Japan. Miura's fame grew after Berserk began "The Golden Age" story arc and the huge success of this masterpiece made of him one of the most prominent contemporary manga artists. In 1997, Miura supervised the production of 25 anime episodes of Berserk that aired in the same year on NTV. The series has also spawned a whole host of merchandise, both official and fan made, ranging from statues and action figures, to key rings, video games, and a trading card game. In 2002, Kentaro Miura received the second place in the Tezuka Osamu (Astro Boy) Cultural Prize of Excellence for Berserk. The author lives in Tokyo, Japan.
