DescriptionBerserk Volume 21 delves deeper into the dark and tumultuous journey of Guts, the formidable Black Swordsman. With an unquenchable thirst for vengeance and resolve fortified by personal stakes, Guts embarks on a perilous mission filled with supernatural threats and existential doubts.
The narrative unfurls in a harrowing tapestry of chaos and despair as Guts races against time to rescue his former lover, Casca. Held captive by Mozgus, the zealously cruel Inquisitor of the Holy See, Casca faces the horrific prospect of execution. Her life hangs in the balance, set to be extinguished in the flames of the Tower of Conviction. Yet, unbeknownst to her captors, Casca bears a demonic Mark of Sacrifice, a sinister sign that beckons a horde of monstrous entities drawn to its dark promise.
In this volume, the stakes are higher than ever. Guts finds himself pitted against the deformed might of Mozgus, a man whose righteousness conceals unfathomable power. As the inquisitor’s citadel crumbles into an abyss of fear and madness, Guts must summon every ounce of his strength and cunning to withstand the onslaught. The brutal and visceral battles test not only his physical limits but also his spirit's resolve.
Composed with intricate artwork and a gripping narrative, Berserk Volume 21 captures the relentless intensity of Guts' struggle against both human and otherworldly foes. This volume encapsulates themes of survival, revenge, and redemption as Guts confronts his demons, both literal and figurative. Will he succeed in saving Casca from the abyssal forces intent on their doom, or will the darkness consume them all?
Immerse yourself in the dark fantasy world created by Kentaro Miura, where the boundaries of heroism and monstrosity blur, and every decision is steeped in consequence. Berserk Volume 21 is an unmissable part of the saga, delivering both ferocity and introspection in equal measure.

About the Author
While attending college at Nihon University, in 1988, Kentaro Miura debuted a 48-page manga known as Berserk Prototype, an introduction to the current Berserk fantasy world. It went on to win Miura a prize from the Comi Manga School. In 1989, after receiving a doctorate degree, Kentarou started a project titled King of Wolves based on a script by Buronson, writer of Hokuto no Ken (Fist Of The North Star). In 1990, the first volume Berserk was released with a relatively limited success. Miura again collaborated with Buronson on manga entitled Japan. Miura's fame grew after Berserk began "The Golden Age" story arc and the huge success of this masterpiece made of him one of the most prominent contemporary manga artists. In 1997, Miura supervised the production of 25 anime episodes of Berserk that aired in the same year on NTV. The series has also spawned a whole host of merchandise, both official and fan made, ranging from statues and action figures, to key rings, video games, and a trading card game. In 2002, Kentaro Miura received the second place in the Tezuka Osamu (Astro Boy) Cultural Prize of Excellence for Berserk. The author lives in Tokyo, Japan.
