Discover the highly acclaimed historical fiction series set within the glittering and ruthless House of Romanov.

The Tsarina's Daughter by Ellen Alpsten transports readers to the opulent and perilous world of 18th-century Russia. Born into the illustrious House of Romanov, Tsarevna Elizabeth Petrovna is the beautiful and charismatic daughter of Peter the Great and Catherine I. From a young age, Elizabeth is enveloped in luxury and privilege, seemingly destined to live a life devoted to her passions, free from the burdens of ruling.

However, fate has other plans for Elizabeth. Following the untimely death of her mother, Catherine, Russia descends into a turbulent time of political intrigue and power struggles. Friends reveal their true colours, and alliances fracture, leaving Elizabeth vulnerable and bereft. Stripped of her wealth and status, she faces a precarious future, navigating a treacherous landscape where trust is scarce and danger lurks at every corner.

Despite the adversities, Elizabeth's indomitable spirit shines through. She is driven by an all-consuming passion and a steely determination to reclaim what was taken from her. Her journey is one of resilience, courage, and a fierce will to survive. As Russia's political climate shifts like quicksand, Elizabeth must grapple with the prophecy that ties her destiny to the country's fate. She faces crucial decisions that will test her mettle: whether to embrace her role as Russia's ruler and the lengths she is willing to go for her nation and her heart.

This mesmerising tale combines historical accuracy with a gripping narrative, painting a vivid portrait of a woman who defied the constraints of her time to shape the course of Russian history. Ellen Alpsten's meticulous research and rich storytelling create an immersive experience, transporting readers to a world of grandeur, betrayal, and ambition.
