My Mother’s Invisible Shield

My Mother has an invisible shield. I tested it. It’s real. A fun interaction between child and their mother as mother always knows what her child is doing. Written from the perspective of a child, this interactive picture book playfully comments on the multifaceted and talented aspects of mums, living their life and loving their kids.

A fun, family-friendly and interactive picture book to celebrate mums and their love for their children, written from the perspective of a child.

My Mother’s Invisible Shield captures the magic of a mother's intuition. Despite their best efforts, her mischievous children find her always ready and prepared. When they sneak up behind her, she turns just in time. With ease, she thwarts an attempt to nab an afternoon snack before it's ready. They must try something cleverer. But her shield is still there, allowing her to evade their antics time and again.

Maybe her shield is like an astronaut suit, or like feathers, or even like bubble wrap. But in moments of need, that shield always falls just in time for mum to scoop them up into her arms.

This delightful book was inspired by the author’s own children and crafted as a fun activity with them. While the children's tricks may be a bit silly, the story carries an important message about family and the unbreakable bond between mother and children.
