All the Bees in the Hollows
All the Bees in the Hollows
Bees choose their masters. Bees don't sting good people.
All the Bees in the Hollows is a tale of tradition, faith, and the unyielding spirit of a mother and daughter. Marytė, a devoted beekeeper, lives by the old rules: work with fellow beekeepers, be a good Christian, and a good harvest will follow. These guiding principles help her cope with her grief when she inherits her late husband's tree hollows. However, as harsh conditions and rising taxes loom over the harvest, Marytė begins to question her faith, her community, and her own sanity.
Little support comes from her eldest daughter, Austėja, who is no worker bee. She takes risks, speaks her mind, and dreams of escaping their isolated community. While her mother toils, Austėja seeks solace in the ancient forest and the old beliefs impressed upon her by her defiant grandmother.
When Austėja stumbles upon the mutilated body of the Hollow Watcher and uncovers a honeycomb of lies and betrayal, she is determined to uncover the truth and protect her family. Will mother and daughter reconcile their differences, uncover the mystery behind the murder, and succeed in completing the honey harvest?
