MICHAEL R. HASS, PhD, is a Professor of Counseling andSchool Psychology and Coordinator of the School Psychology programat Chapman University. He has over twenty-five years of experienceas a school psychologist in public schools and as a psychotherapistand educational psychologist in private practice. He is aconsultant with the Los Angeles County Department of EducationGreater Avenues for Independence Program for unemployed adults withlearning disabilities and Faculty-In-Residence with The Center forAutism and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. Dr. Hass has publishedarticles in numerous professional journals and is the currenteditor of Contemporary School Psychology. JEANNE ANNE CARRIERE, PhD, has been a School Psychologistin a large urban school district for over 20 years. She iscurrently the Director of the Chapman Ability Project, acollaborative program designed to advance the expertise ofeducators, service providers, community members, and parentsworking and living with children with neurodevelopmental disorders.As a Clinical Associate Professor at Chapman University, sheteaches, supervises, and mentors field-work students.
