As we mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the 150th anniversary of Winston Churchill's birth, this book offers a profound look at the strategic masterminds behind Operation Overlord, the largest amphibious invasion in history that heralded the beginning of the end of World War II.
General Lord Dannatt, a distinguished contemporary military leader and former head of the British Army, collaborates with Allen Packwood, an eminent Churchill scholar and archivist at the Churchill Archives Centre in Cambridge.
