Dive into the immersive world of R.F. Kuang's critically acclaimed historical military fantasy trilogy with The Poppy War Boxset, which comprises the gripping novels The Poppy War, The Dragon Republic, and The Burning God. Inspired by the tumultuous history of China's twentieth century, these novels weave a narrative tapestry rich with treachery, magic, and exhilarating warfare. This comprehensive boxset comes with a beautifully illustrated map to guide you through the intricately crafted world of Nikara.

The Poppy War introduces us to Rin, a war orphan born into poverty who miraculously earns a place at Sinegard, Nikan's esteemed military academy. Her resilience and fierce determination reveal an untapped potential: the dangerous and potent power of shamanism. As tensions escalate between the Nikara Empire and the Federation of Mugen, Rin becomes aware that her newfound abilities might be the key to her people’s survival. Yet, binding her power is the looming presence of the vengeful Phoenix god, whose wrath threatens to consume her very soul as the path to salvation becomes increasingly perilous.

In The Dragon Republic, Rin grapples with the aftermath of a harrowing act committed on the battlefield, plagued by guilt and driven by the addictive respite of opium. Haunted by the Phoenix god's fiery directives, she allies with the enigmatic Dragon Warlord in a desperate attempt to overthrow the deceitful Empress who devastated her homeland. As alliances shift and secrets unravel, Rin stands on the precipice of devastation or redemption, confronted by the relentless allure of her destructive power.

The Burning God propels us deeper into the heart of conflict as Rin emerges as a symbol of vengeance and hope for Nikan's oppressed masses. Her resolve is tested as she leads them against foes who endanger the legacy of shamanic traditions. But the Phoenix god's incessant whisper beckons her towards annihilation, with its promise of unchecked power threatening to engulf the very fabric of her nation—and her humanity. Through heart-stopping action and poignant introspection, Rin's saga reaches its heart-rending climax.

Experience a saga that not only challenges the boundaries of epic fantasy but also resonates with the historical echoes of real-world events, delivering a potent narrative that will captivate, provoke, and endure in the minds of its readers.
