The Wretched of the Earth by Frantz Fanon is celebrated for its profound analysis of colonialism and racism. Angela Davis deems Fanon the 20th century's most compelling theorist on these topics, while Jean-Paul Sartre encourages readers to engage with the text. The book gains praise for its vivid depiction of colonialism's impact on black people's psyche and its continued relevance, according to Ore Ogunbiyi. Deborah Levy highlights its passionate language, and the influence of Fanon's thoughts on figures like Malcolm X and the Black Panther leaders is noted by the Boston Globe. Time magazine refers to the book as a pivotal, revolutionary text for understanding post-colonial sentiments.
