Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Grown Ups by Marian Keyes delves into the lives of the Casey brothers and their respective families, unravelling the complexities of modern relationships with wit and warmth. This brilliant story introduces us to Jessie, Cara, and Nell, each married to one of the Casey brothers - Johnny, Ed, and Liam. Although their lives seem picture-perfect, beneath the surface lies a web of secrets and personal struggles.

Jessie, a successful event planner, thrives on control and perfection, masking her insecurities. Cara grapples with self-acceptance and a hidden eating disorder, while her husband is blissfully ignorant. Nell, the free-spirited artist, yearns for a deeper connection in her evolving relationship.

The narrative takes us through various family gatherings and holidays, where laughter and joy are abundant. However, the atmosphere teeters on a knife-edge as buried truths begin to emerge. Marian Keyes masterfully exposes the vulnerabilities and strengths of each character with empathy and humour, inviting readers to both laugh and reflect.

As secrets spill and façades crumble, the characters must confront their true selves, leading to heartfelt and sometimes painful growth. In Grown Ups, playtime is over, and it’s time to ask: where are the real grown-ups?

With her signature style and unparalleled insight, Marian Keyes delivers a profoundly observant and utterly compelling read that resonates long after the final page.
