About the Author
In the nearly 20 years since his only other art book, Out of the Forests, Paul has spent most of his time back in the forests and up a few mountains, too. The inspiration and energy provided by these journeys have continued to influence his art and provide visual reference for the creatures and people that inhabit these regions. He has continued to give life to the realms of Trudvang, and spent 3 years painting the medieval denizens of The Dead Keep. His own project of Beowulf slowly progresses – though having to pay bills sadly restricts time spent on it. Searching the darkest corners of his studio and the dustiest portfolios, Paul has found old art, both college work and work that helped get him into college. Some of his first professional commissions from 80s London show that he wasn’t always allowed to go off wandering where his heart took him – but he’s got there now and is happily staying there. Based in Denmark.
