Blush
A visually stunning celebration of the worldβs most brilliant, bold, and boundary-pushing makeup artists
Makeup is empowering. It's a means of reinvention, experimentation, provocation, disguise, and protection. It can be "barely there" or can transform someone entirely. In the hands of the finest practitioners, it can traverse into a whole other fantasy land. Blush is the very first global survey to celebrate the most creative, ground-breaking, and inspiring work of more than 75 international makeup artists working today.
The book features established names alongside emerging talent, with each artist nominated by a panel of experts including magazine editors, stylists, curators, writers, hairstylists, photographers, and art directors. Also included is an introduction by Alistair O'Neill to set the work of todayβs makeup artists within the historical context of the industryβs unsung pioneers.
Expertly curated and beautifully produced with engaging texts and hundreds of images, this special book showcases the work of an often-overlooked industry like never before.
