Mein Kampf, Hitler's infamous political tract, was first published in two volumes in 1925-26. During his lifetime, it sold between eight and nine million copies and was widely translated.
This edition contains a detailed introduction by D.C. Watt, Professor of International History at the University of London. The introduction analyses Hitler's background, provides the origins and history of the book, and concludes with a critical assessment of both Hitler's incoherent ideas and his ruthless understanding of political power.
