The Doughnut Club is about 12-year-old Quinn. She loves her family, but she often feels the odd one out. Not only because she's the only one with red hair and green eyes, but because she would rather be quietly drawing than surfing or rock-climbing, or whatever mad activity her mums and brother Olly might like to do on holiday.
Quinn has always known she is donor conceived. She's never been that interested in knowing about their donor. But when Quinn's mums tell her and Olly that they have sixteen donor siblings, Quinn's mind is blown! Maybe one of them will be more like her! The only problem is her parents want them to wait until they are older to contact anyone. As Quinn tries to secretly find out more, she starts to lose sight of what is really important, especially when she starts to believe her worst enemy—the dreaded Monika—could be one of her siblings! Can she find a way back to her family, whilst finding a way to tell them how she really feels?
Kristina Rahim is the most amazing debut talent, shining a light on queer families and, for this book in particular, donor-conceived children. Inspired by her own family, Kristina's writing is authentic and heartfelt. Winner of the PFD Queer Prize, Nosy Crow scooped her up in a three-book deal and are proud to publish her debut and many books beyond that.

About the Author
Kristina Rahim (Author)
Kristina Rahim is a writer and lives in London with her wife and two daughters. Before writing, Kristina worked in the property industry, building homes out of disused garages and scraps of land. She now spends her days building middle grade and YA novels. She was runner-up in the Golden Egg Award fiction competition 2022. Her début middle grade novel, The Doughnut Club, was named as the winner of the PFD Queer Fiction Prize 2023.
Marina Tena Borras (Illustrator)
Marina is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator born and raised in Barcelona. Her favorite game as a kid was making books out of glue, crayons, and paper of all kinds. She always made sure all of her friends had a copy the next day at school. Now, as an adult, she walks the line between illustration and graphic design to create each of her projects. Her style is represented by soft shapes and overwhelming use of color. Marina aims to make people feel represented through her artwork, because of the lack of representation she saw as a child, especially related to her type 1 diabetes
