The Uncertainty Effect
In an age of pandemic and economic precarity, how can we learn to embrace uncertainty in our workplaces, schools, and businesses? And how can better understanding uncertainty help us to build resilience, foster social inclusion, and deal with the big issues, such as climate change?
Award-winning educator Michelle Lazarus shows us how uncertainty tolerance can help. Drawing on years of her teamβs own research, Michelle examines how teachers can help prepare students for an uncertain workforce, how healthcare administrators can help reduce burnout in doctors, how scientists can better model the effects of climate change, and how we can all contribute to equity in our workplaces.
This lively book has an affirming message: we may not be able to predict the future, but we can learn to navigate it.
The Uncertainty Effect offers insights into embracing unpredictability and equipping ourselves to thrive amidst change.
