Gaudy Night
The twelfth book in the classic British detective series featuring amateur sleuth Lord Peter Wimsey, with a new introduction by actress Dame Harriet Mary Walter, DBE.
Gaudy Night by Dorothy L. Sayers follows Harriet Vane as she reluctantly returns to her old Oxford college. Despite her scandalous past, she has been summoned back.
Upon her arrival at the serene Shrewsbury College for the 'Gaudy' celebrations, Harriet is confronted by her worst fears. She encounters obscene graffiti, poison pen letters, and a disgusting effigy.
Soon, she realises that she is not the only target of this murderous malice. In desperation, Harriet seeks the assistance of Lord Peter Wimsey.
