In the newest Wolfe-family adventure from James Carlos Blake, Rudy and Frank Wolfe are engaging in routine miscellaneous business—some legitimate and some less so—for their family when they stumble upon a stash of high-quality pornographic films in a raid. The plot thickens when their Aunt Catalina, the family matriarch aged 115, recognises her long-lost sister in one of the young performers. Catalina tasks the boys with tracking the girl down, however improbable a connection may be.
This proves to be no simple task. Soon, Rudy and Frank find themselves moving away from the world of porn and towards the upper echelons of the Sinaloa drug cartel, where the mysterious woman has become a particular favourite of the head narco. For their aunt, the woman, and themselves, Frank and Rudy must find a way to get her out without alerting the cartel. A tropical storm complicates their quest, but their sprawling family may save them from this obstacle, too.
The Bones of Wolfe is often outrageous and always entertaining. The Wolfes are not to be missed.

The Bones of Wolfe is praised for its action-packed narrative and exploration of family loyalties, with touches of sentimentality. It draws comparisons to Thomas Perry's style, offering plenty of thrills and is celebrated as a masterful series entry.

About the Author
James Carlos Blake is one of America's most highly regarded living authors of historical crime fiction. He was born in Mexico to a family that moved regularly when he was a child, living in various towns along the border and coast before finally settling in Texas. After a stint in the army, Blake attended the University of South Florida and received a Master's degree from Bowling Green State University, both universities where he would later teach. In 1997 he left teaching to write full-time. Blake has written thirteen other novels and one collection of stories, most of which dealt with real-life characters from the American west. He lives and works in Arizona.
