Fortunately, but quite by accident, he prevents an assassination of Robert Kennedy. The plotters are sure Carter is more than just a Peace Corps Volunteer. They are furious and attempt to discover who Carter is working for.

Those attempts involve Carter in a series of adventures featuring beautiful women, nefarious characters, unexpected violence, and interactions with spirits. The story moves to various areas in the Philippines and leads to a final confrontation in the jungles of the island of Palawan.

The early part of Jim's life was spent in education teaching at all levels. Since retiring, he has acted, directed, and appeared in TV commercials.
