About the Author

Kylie Covark is an inaugural recipient of a mentorship through Raising Literacy Australia's Emerging Author and Illustrator Mentoring Project and is an advocate for childhood literacy. She has been awarded first prize in the CYA Conference Picture Book Competition (Aspiring) and the Writers Unleashed Picture Book Writing Competition. Kylie's most recent picture book Float or Sink? was released by Ford Street Publishing in 2021.

Robin Tatlow-Lord is an illustrator, animator and cartoonist with a great love of storytelling. Robin studied at Adelaide Central School of Art and the University of South Australia, with an exchange semester in northern Mexico. In 2013 she was fortunate to attend the Centre for Cartoon Studies' intensive Cartooning Summer School in Vermont, USA. Robin has created comics, animation and picture book illustrations for clients, and in 2011 was awarded the Colin Thiele Scholarship for Creative Writing to develop her own children's stories - one of which was recently developed into an animated short funded by the Media Resource Centre.
