Discover the joy of learning shapes through playful movement and vibrant photography. Watch This! transforms learning into a vibrant adventure. Can you make a circle with your arms? Or a triangle with your fingers? Work together to make a rectangle or even a pyramid. This captivating board book blends education with fun, promoting kinetic learning where children use their bodies to explore and understand different shapes. It's a method that not only fosters physical activity but also helps develop essential gross motor skills. By moving and positioning their bodies to create shapes, kids gain a better grasp of spatial relationships, geometric concepts, size, and patterns, all crucial for early math skills and foundational for future learning. Combining playful activities with significant educational benefits, this board book is perfect for fostering early learning and physical activity in young children. Bold and Playful- Celebrates movement, energy, pattern, color, and shape, tailored especially for the youngest readers. Engaging Photography- A group of children twist, bend, and stretch to create various shapes, photographed against vibrant backgrounds. Hands-On Learning- Encourages children to explore shapes using their bodies, fostering creativity and physical activity. Perfect for Little Hands- Durable and sturdy, ideal for toddlers and young children. Ideal for Families with young children who enjoy interactive and educational play. Parents and educators looking to support early learning and motor skill development. Classrooms and daycare centers seeking fun, collaborative group activities. "In this inviting concept book, children use their bodies to make different shapes. Eye-catching photographs showcase gross motor skills in action. A kinetic celebration of body and mind." -School Library Journal 'Watch This! is a groundbreaking modern photographic picture book about children using their bodies to make sense of shapes in a playful way, form three high-acclaimed Australian creators. A bold and playful celebration of movement, energy, pattern, colour and shape!' -Good Reading 'This Australian concept book involves the whole body. Twelve children bend, twist, and join limbs to form various shapes, all photographed against large, patterned pops of colour ... Walker expertly photographs from various angles, though the overhead shots are by far the most clever and amusing. The shapes start to get more complicated (a star, a diamond) until interpretations become a bit looser and more creative. Children standing side by side holding hands are a wavy line, and two others hiding behind Ari with arms straight out becomes a six-armed 'Ari-tangle.' Orpin's backgrounds and frames often echo the shapes in case extra reinforcement is needed. The children are racially diverse with names hinting at ethnic diversity as well, and playful touches (tongues out, gleeful smiles) expertly capture childlike exuberance. A treat for all learners, kinaesthetic or otherwise.' -Kirkus Reviews
