Montgomery Bonbon: Mystery at the Manor follows Bonnie Montgomery, also known by her case-cracking alter-ego Montgomery Bonbon, who has been invited to Adderstone Manor by Fergus Croke. Croke's prized diamond has gone missing, and as a retired master thief, he suspects one of his four protégés is behind the theft. But when everyone involved is a crook, even the great Bonbon doesn't know where to start.

The plot thickens faster than a good roux when the only unsuspicious member of the household, Croke’s loyal butler, is found dead in the grounds. It’s not long before Bonbon uncovers hidden identities, numerous motives, and a rather surprising hedge maze full of monkeys. Can Bonbon, along with Dana and Grampa Banks, discover the missing gem and apprehend the thief and killer? And are they one and the same?
