She worked at Syracuse University's student newspaper, The Daily Orange, and wrote spots for WAER Radio. One of her poems was published in the Rutgers University Literary Magazine the year she graduated. She wrote for the Princeton Packet while at Rutgers and then for SALT Magazine after returning to Syracuse, NY. This book of haiku and art is her first published book.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eAbout The Artist:\u003c\/em\u003e Liliya observes that memory is one of the most precious things in life. She recalls seeing landscapes and beautiful things around her, trying to memorise them, and running home to capture them with pencils and paint on paper. Every painting is a promise of a memory that will not be forgotten. A self-taught artist, Lifanova collects knowledge from painting with other artists, attending art workshops, reading about art techniques, and visiting museums.
